Children’s party organized by region Legion

SIDNEY – American Legion Post 183 in Sidney will be having its annual Christmas party for the kids from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 18 at The Post at 22 Union St. in Sidney.

Santa will visit and pose for photos and there will be craft activities to include Santa door hangers, Christmas cards, calendar magnets.

The drive-thru option will include gift bags.

Roxbury Library suspends services

ROXBURY – Roxbury Library closed on Wednesday 15 December and will remain closed for the rest of the year.

According to a press release, the health risks posed by the increase in COVID cases in Delaware County, as reported by the Delaware County Department of Public Health, as well as the COVID precautions imposed by the State recently against the newly emerging COVID variants, resulted in the shutdown.

All library services, including interlibrary loan requests and curbside collections, are suspended until further notice.

Patrons are kindly requested not to leave voicemail messages for library staff.

Donation Breakfast taking place at VFW

SCHENEVUS – AMVETS Post 2752 will be sponsoring an Eat-and-Go Breakfast 7-10: 30 a.m. on Sunday, December 19 at Veterans Hall on Main Street in Schenevus.

Menu selections will include pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, homemade fries, fresh fruit and drinks.

Holiday market scheduled for December 21

COOPERSTOWN – There will be a holiday market at Cooperstown Farmers’ Market at 101 Main Street in Pioneer Alley from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21.

According to a press release, more than 20 suppliers are expected to be in attendance.

Farmers and food producers will provide their meats, poultry, trout, mushrooms, pastries, cheeses, jams, jellies, mustard, honey, granola and coffee.

Craftsmen and specialty items will include plants, CBD and herbal remedies, pottery, woodworking, jewelry, birdhouses, yarn and chocolate.
