Ardmore Music Room: will host their annual Ardmore Winter Beer Festival on January 8, with tastings of over 50 local and national craft beers paired with live bluegrass music and specials from the donut specialists of Philadelphia, Federal Donuts. VIP ticket options are also available, including a Founders KBS Brunch hosted by Ardmore’s famous Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft. Tickets and more information are available here. General Admission Passes will allow attendees access to generous samples of a collection of carefully selected craft beers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. All participants will also receive a complimentary tasting glass exclusive to the event. Participating breweries include Founders, Fiddlehead, Yards, Troegs, Bell’s Brewery, Broken Goblet and more. VIP ticket options include tastings of all three limited edition KBS Founders variants (Original, Espresso, and Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa) with a KBS punch card. Beer Brunch tickets include exclusive, early access to the Founders Casting Area in the Ardmore Music Hall lodge, including KBS variations that can be paired with the brunch. Jurassic Quest: North America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur exhibit opens at the Pennsylvania Convention Center for two weeks January 15-23. Tickets are scheduled entry and start at $ 19 – book online to ensure your desired date and time at www.jurassicquest.com – or are available on site, and include a 100% ticket guarantee that ” In the event of cancellation or postponement of the show for any reason, ticket purchases will be automatically refunded for the full amount of the purchase. Tickets are for a scheduled arrival window, and purchase of tickets in advance is strongly encouraged. Guests can browse the dinosaur experience at their own pace, and strollers are permitted. General admission tickets include access to dinosaur and marine exhibits, arts and crafts, and dinosaur shows. Some rides and activities require activity tickets available on-site, or customers can upgrade to the Kids Unlimited Rides ticket (best value for children ages 2-12). Souvenir photographs and animal art tattoos are available for a fee. Entrance is free for children under 2 years old.

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site: brings back its popular program of evening tours, this time celebrating the winter break, some evenings until December 30, 2021. A self-guided audio tour, large-scale screenings of historic photographs and films, a pop-up museum featuring artifacts from Eastern State, and activities such as greeting card writing stations will bring the stories of prison vacations past and present to the public this winter. Night visits: the winter holidays will take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until December 23, as well as every evening from December 26 to 30. Entrance hours start at 6 p.m. Closing hours vary nightly. Tickets can be purchased online at www.EasternState.org, or at the door, subject to availability. Free entry for members of Eastern States. The Eastern State Penitentiary is also open for day visits year-round. Current opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Arden Theater: Originally scheduled for March 2020, the Arden Theater Company’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire had only one public performance before the company closed due to the COVID pandemic. Now that gorgeous production will return to open Arden’s mainstage season 2022 as the F. Otto Haas stage transforms into the sweltering streets of New Orleans’ French Quarter. Directed by Arden Artistic Director Terry Nolen, A Streetcar Named Desire will air from January 13 to February 13, 2022. For more information, visit ardentheatre.org.

Winterthur: In 1961, the youngest first lady in American history appointed a reserved octogenarian collector from Delaware to lead her White House interior restoration project. The exhibition Jacqueline Kennedy and Henry Francis du Pont: From Winterthur to the White House will tell for the first time in Winterthur this historic partnership, at the origin of Mrs. Kennedy’s project. The exhibit runs from May 7, 2022 to January 8, 2023. Winterthur, located on Route 52, six miles northwest of Wilmington, Delaware, and five miles south of US Route 1, is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except during the holiday season, from November 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022. During the holiday season, Winterthur is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (tours of the house by reservation, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with last visit at 3.15 p.m.) . Winterthur is closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas. General admission is $ 20 for adults; $ 18 for students and seniors; $ 6 for ages 2 to 11. Vacation admission is $ 25 for adults; $ 23 for students and seniors; $ 6 for ages 2 to 11. Memberships are available for free and reduced entry. The Festival of Lights at Rose Tree Park: will once again be a mainstay of the holiday calendar as we celebrate the most festive time of the year. Creating a winter wonderland within the 120 lush green acres of Rose Tree County Park, this year’s festival is set to be the best yet with the addition of the first vacation village, sponsored by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, for support local traders. Starting every evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and ending on January 2, the Rosebush Festival of Lights will now add the Holiday Village that can accommodate up to 72 vendors over three weekends. Every Friday and Saturday evening during the first three weekends of December, 12 vendor huts and two food trucks will operate each evening between 5.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. This will add that extra special touch for everyone’s enjoyment while supporting local businesses. Delaware County Victim Support Center: (formerly known as Delaware County Women Against Rape) has been providing services to victims of sexual assault and their loved ones since 1974. The nonprofit agency relies on the support of our volunteers to help us meet the needs of our customers 24 hours a day. Victim services include accompaniment to hospital / police interviews and telephone crisis intervention. Volunteers receive 40 hours of training to prepare them for their responsibilities and are asked to provide support at least twice a month for an evening or weekend shift. Delaware County Victim Support Center: (formerly known as Delaware County Women Against Rape) offers free, confidential counseling in person and through our 24-hour hotline for victims of sexual assault. The agency provides medical, police and legal support. DCVAC also facilitates support groups for adult survivors of sexual abuse, adult survivors of rape, and adolescent survivors of sexual assault. Upper Chichester Seniors Club: meets the first and third Thursday of each month at the Community Services Building, 1950 Market St, Linwood. All Upper Chichester residents aged 60 or over and their spouses, regardless of age, are welcome. Bingo will be played before our meetings at 11:30 am, meetings start at 1:00 pm.
