27 blocks of the Indore division lag behind in vaccination against Covid | News from Indoré

INDORE: About 27 blocks in the Indore division are lagging behind in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, shows a presentation submitted to health authorities at a review meeting.
State health officials examined blocks in the state about two days ago that have covered less than 80% of their population with the first or second dose or both.
Of these 27, the Bagh block in Dhar is the least efficient with only 69% coverage of its adult population with the first dose of Covid-19 and 44.4% with the second, showed a record. There are approximately 15 blocks with coverage between 50-70% of the second dose.
State immunization officer Dr Santosh Shukla said: “District health officials are instructed to follow an n-block strategy and a comprehensive approach to cover the rest of the population. ”
“As part of this approach, analysis of area data is performed to identify the lower coverage pocket, and then with the help of a mobilizer and augmented session, efforts are made to cover the remaining population, ”said Dr Shukla.
“We have successfully piloted this approach and strategy in Agar-Malwa district which is approaching 100% full COVID-19 vaccination of its adult population to become the first state to do so,” added Dr Shukla.
The records further suggested that Dhar had a maximum of seven blocks according to the criteria, five each in Jhabu, Alirajpur followed by four each in Barwani and Khargone and one each in Indore and Khandwa.
